Substitute Teachers - Immediate Openings

5th/6th Grade Teacher

St. Paul’s Episcopal School is seeking a qualified candidate for a 5th/6th grade teacher. A strong candidate will have prior middle school or elementary teaching experience. The anticipated start date is August 2022.

Primary Purpose

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the academic areas of reading, English and History to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Instruction in these classes takes more of a humanities approach focusing on the studies of World and American culture, History, Human Geography, English and Literature. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. This assignment is semi-departmentalized. This teacher will be the homeroom teacher for the 5th graders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans.
  • Integrate instruction
  • Work closely with colleagues on the school’s curricular initiatives
  • Use appropriate technology in support of the curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in professional development
