Saint Paul's Episcopal School is delighted to announce the appointment of **Ms. Tresa R. Wilson** as our new Head of School.
Ms. Wilson joins Saint Paul's from Trinity Preparatory School of Florida, an independent Episcopal school in Winter Park, where she has served as Assistant Head of School since 2022. Prior to that, she spent nearly 16 years at The Hockaday School in Dallas, serving in a variety of leadership and educational roles, including fourth grade teacher, Lower School Language Arts Coordinator, Travel Program Coordinator, and Director of Inclusion and Community.
Throughout her career, Ms. Wilson has demonstrated a deep commitment to academic excellence, Episcopal education, and building strong, connected school communities. Her broad experience across independent schools, combined with her collaborative leadership style and passion for nurturing students, faculty, and families, made her an outstanding choice to lead Saint Paul's into its next chapter.
During the search process, Ms. Wilson's vision for whole-school growth stood out. She is dedicated to supporting and developing exceptional faculty and staff, fostering a joyful and engaging learning environment for students, strengthening partnerships with families, and ensuring the long-term vitality and financial sustainability of the school.
A native of Tyler, Texas, Ms. Wilson understands and values the close-knit relationships that make communities like Waco so special. She earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Tyler and a master's degree in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. She has also received numerous professional honors and teaching awards throughout her distinguished career.
