School Life

Greetings from Head of School

Welcome to Saint Paul’s Episcopal School! Christ said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Together the Saint Paul’s Episcopal School community gives life to Christ’s admonishment. There is no greater privilege and no greater responsibility than this mission.

We accomplish that mission through four, intentional strategies. At the heart of everything we do is the recognition that young minds are capable of great things. Transforming capability into achievement requires hard work and discipline. Everyday we will honor your children by expecting their best efforts in the classroom.

Hand in hand with academic rigor is the belief that children will walk with God if given the opportunity. So we infuse spiritual formation into all our daily activities. To be clear, as Episcopalians we understand faith and reason to be complementary rather than adversarial.  But we are not afraid to say God created our world and challenges us to discover how it works and how we must care for it. We will help our children do just that.

As part of that philosophy our children engage in regular worship, led by our incredible church staff.  Cognizant that we have children and families from all faiths, our worship is designed to comfort and inform rather than convert.  Children have an incredible ability to grow their own relationship with their God; we make sure to give them space to do that.

Finally, we believe that learning and spirit mean nothing without action. Above all, we want young men and women with the courage of their convictions and the ability to turn ideas into reality. At Saint Paul’s, your children will learn what it means to be a part of and to build a community, a city and a world.

Academic Rigor, Spiritual Formation, Worship and Service Learning are the foundational principles of Saint Paul’s Episcopal School. From that foundation, we can build the brightest future for your children and our community. My door is always open if you want to learn more about our wonderful school.
